Out Patient Department (OPD) is a unit committed to deliver an exceptional outpatient care service. It functions from 8.00 am to 12 pm and 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm on Monday to Friday and 8.00 am to 12.00 pm on Saturdays. There are separate Consultation areas, an outdoor dispensary, a dressing room, a sampling area, a nebulization area, and a Health Education Unit for OPD patients.

Clinics
Clinics are manned by consultants, medical officers, nursing officers and health care assistants. The in charge nursing officer is responsible for coordinating the clinics, maintaining the clinic records and storing the clinic books.
Heath Promotion Unit
This unit empowers the hospital community to establish sustainable healthy environment in the hospital. Major areas of activities in this unit are creating a healing environment for patients, creating a healthy community in partnership with all stakeholders.
Dental Unit
Dental unit is also an outpatient service. It is another success arm of NIID. This unit is situated in a new building with sophisticated dental chairs and other facilities. Two dental surgeons are allocated to this unit and it provides a remarkable service to the community.
Dressing and Sampling Unit
This unit is a part of out patient care service committed to delivering wound care, nebulization and blood drawing for laboratory investigations.
